Music Calexico, a musical collective from
Tuscon with Afro-Peruvian influences, will be performing at the
Knitting Factory tonight presented by 89.9 KCRW. At Royce Hall on
Saturday at 8 p.m. The Blind Boys of Alabama featuring Clarence
Fountain will perform a uniquely classic brand of gospel music. The
band Autolux will be at the Knitting Factory Saturday night.
Theater The Knightsbridge Theatre Los Angeles
is making a call out to all divas. In a production called
“…And Then There Was Nun,” actors mock
“Holy” wood’s top sisters, Sister Marilyn, Sister
Bette, Sister Mae and Sister Katherine, among others. Viewers who
come dressed as a Hollywood diva ““ Judy, Mae, Marilyn or even
Madonna ““ will get in for half price. Performances start on

Art Los Angeles County Museum of Art is
bringing samurai armor and fashion together for its Family Sundays
program. Viewers can find inspiration in costumes and textiles from
the past 100 years to create their own designs to wear. Art to Wear
will be held at 12:30 p.m. in LACMA’s Times Mirror Central
Court.
Film “Brotherhood of the Wolf”
features a mysterious beast that mutilates numerous victims across
southern France during the 18th century. “Orange
County” stars Colin Hanks as an Orange County high school
student with hopes of attending Stanford to become a writer.
Tenacious D frontman Jack Black plays his obnoxious older
brother.
