Erin Brockovich discusses and signs her new book “Take It
From Me: Life’s a Struggle But You Can Win” tonight at
7 p.m. at the Beverly
Hills Library. The book details Brockovich’s
inspirational journey from poverty to fame and wealth. The
self-made star talks about the lessons she’s learned in her
life and the road to success in the book. For information on

Film
Director Mike Figgis’s (“Leaving Las Vegas,”
“Time Code”) new film, “Hotel,” will make
its U.S. premiere at the Getty
Research Institute tonight.
There will be a Q&A session following the premiere. The film
is 98 minutes long and is going to be in the Harold Williams
Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public
but seating reservations are required. Reservations can be made at

There will be a panel discussion on Wednesday, March 16, also in
the Harold Williams Auditorium at the Getty Research Institue. The
panel will include Christopher Nolan, director of
“Memento,” as well as David Lynch, director of
“Mulholland Drive.”
The panel will be moderated by the New York Times film critic
Elvis Mitchell regarding how technology has changed the definition
of art on the screen and how filmmakers have dealt with it. The
event is free and open to the public, but seating reservations are
