ART

“From Hell to Hollywood” is an exhibit by Nick Ut
that captures 35 years of photojournalism. The exhibit is housed in
the Perfect Exposure Gallery in Los Angeles from Tuesday through

“A Treasury of 15th-Century Manuscript Illumination”

THEATER

The casting team for “Les Misérables” will hold
open auditions in Los Angeles on April 10 for adults at 10 a.m. and
April 11 for children at 3:30 p.m., for future replacements.

Laugh with “The Unusual Suspects” at 8 p.m. this

Asian-American Sketch Comedy presents “Me Laugh You Long

FILM

The remake of the Rat Pack flick, “Ocean’s
11,” presented by Campus Events, will be shown tonight and
Friday night at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The film will be shown at
Ackerman Grand Ballroom and tickets will be $2 at the door.

The 4th Annual Festival of Film Noir, presented by the American
Cinematheque, is currently going on at the Egyptian Theater. Today
there will be a double feature beginning with “Apology for
Murder” (1945), followed by “Bad Blonde” (1953).
There will be a discussion between films with actress Ann Savage
(“Apology for Murder”).

On Friday, “Crack-Up,” (1946) will be shown.
Following at 9 p.m. will be a double feature showing “The
Suspect” (1944), and “The Strange Affair of Uncle
Harry” (1945).

Saturday has “Road House” (1948), “Blind
Alley” (1939) and “Blind Spot” (1947). Sunday
will feature “Man in the Shadow” (1957) and “Two
of a Kind” (1951).

Academy Award winner “Amadeus, The Director’s
Cut” will be released in limited theaters in Los Angeles and
New York on Friday. The film is digitally remastered with restored
picture and sound, and also includes 20 additional minutes of
drama, music and sound not found in the original 1984 release.

UCLA Documentary Salon will be presenting two films made by UCLA
professors on Monday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the James Bridges
Theater. “Rancho California (por favor),” by John
Caldwell, and “Toyo Miyatake: Infinite Shades of Gray,”
by Robert Nakamura, will be shown. There will be a reception and
Q&A following the screening. All events are free and open to
