Defensive back Priest Willis to transfer out of UCLA football

Junior defensive back Priest Willis will transfer out of UCLA football, according to multiple reports.

Willis was UCLA’s top recruit in its 2013 recruiting class, per ESPN.com. He was the No. 59 overall prospect in the ESPN300 that year and the No. 5 safety prospect.

But the buzz surrounding Willis decreased significantly during his two years at UCLA. Coach Jim Mora transitioned Willis from safety to cornerback, where Willis went through some growing pains. He only started one game in his two years at UCLA, and recorded a total of 31 tackles over his two seasons.

There is no word of where Willis will transfer. He can redshirt the 2015 season and will have two years of collegiate playing eligibility left after that.
