UCLA names University of Michigan professor as dentistry school dean

UCLA officials appointed a new dean for the UCLA School of Dentistry on Tuesday.

Paul Krebsbach, professor of biomedical engineering at the University of Michigan, will succeed Dr. No-Hee Park, who has served since 1998, as the eighth dean of the dentistry school June 30.

Krebsbach is the Roy H. Roberts Professor of Dentistry at the University of Michigan and was a senior staff fellow at the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Dental and Cranofacial Research, which aims to improve oral, dental and craniofacial health.

Krebsbach researches cell and molecular biology of mineralized tissues, according to his profile.

Park will return to teaching and conducting research after he finishes his term.
