Week six is now done and Fashion Friday finally returns. Look at what students wore this week around campus and how they are adapting to the sunny LA weather this November.
Arielle Tripp, a fourth-year human biology and society student added, "This is my dad's jacket from when he served in the Vietnam War when he was 18 as a helicopter pilot."
"I was trying to channel my dad. He was a hippie in the '70s with his tie-dye shirts and faded jeans," said Jason Cohn, a third-year English student.
"So I was learning silver smithing, and I manufactured these earrings out of scrap metal and just pieces of turquoise that I had. And I'm from the desert in California, so there is a lot of turquoise and stuff around. So that's where I kind of just fashioned it out of desert jewelry," said Amber Colosimo, a third-year anthropology student.
Diana Marim, a fourth-year psychology and Spanish student, said, "I am wearing this shirt because I'll be seeing my mom later tonight, and she really loves these kinds of designs. She works with making them, and I love that it's part of my culture and part of who I am. And I love how the white just stands out and all the designs with the black backdrop I guess. It's pretty cool."
Kayla Beckman, a third-year applied mathematics student, said, "I was going for layers today. A good pair of sunglasses makes everything look put together."
"My mom and my sister went on vacation to Hawaii without me, and I was super, super bitter. So I told them to pick me up something, and they said that they forgot to get me something until they went to the airport to go home. So they bought me a Hawaiian shirt from an airport. So the shirt I'm wearing is not very much, in terms of fabric, or wasn't very expensive. But I think it's kind of a statement," said Zach Johnson, a third-year philosophy student.
