Five minutes into the first quarter, here’s what the Rose Bowl looks like.

This stadium is loud, perhaps the loudest it’s been this season. Whether that’s because the team is looking significantly better than it did earlier this season or because it’s USC on the gridiron, we can’t be sure. But this is the energy coach DeShaun Foster’s been yearning for.

Gorawara was Sports senior staff and Copy staff. She was previously the 2024-2025 Sports editor on the football, men’s basketball and NIL beats, an assistant Sports editor on the men’s volleyball, men’s tennis, women’s volleyball and rowing beats and a contributor on the men’s volleyball and rowing beats. She was a fourth-year economics and communication student minoring in professional writing from Hong Kong.
