UCLA Wind Ensemble to play in first concert of school year

Larry Sutherland served as director of bands and professor of music at California State University, Fresno from 1969 to 2006. Under the direction of Sutherland, the UCLA Wind Ensemble will perform its first concert of the school year at Schoenberg Hall today at 8 p.m.

James Eagle, a fifth-year religious studies student, has been producing music for six years and made a soundtrack inspired by the botanical gardens on campus. This is his first full, completed body of work and also the first work he is sharing with others.
