From seventh graders to doctorates, scholars of all ages learn new ways to think about math at the 2nd Annual Math Festival at UCLA. Math can be both frustrating and fun, and it even has cultural and gender implications. Learn about this from scholars of grades seven up to the professional level "“ who all attended the 2nd Annual Mathematics Festival at UCLA on February 13th, 2010. The Festival was presented by Johns Hopkins University's Center for Talented Youth and two branches of UCLA: the Philip C. Curtis Jr. Center for Mathematics and Teaching, and the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics.
