“Infinite Crisis” DC Comics In a year full of comic book craziness ““ Marvel Comics’ epic “Civil War” pitted Iron Man against Captain America and unveiled Spider-Man’s secret identity to the world, and DC Comics’ “52” told a year-long story every week in real time, “24”-style ““ the best major event was DC’s “Infinite Crisis.” Aside from providing the company with a much-needed creative reboot for characters such as Superman and Batman, the story also played to DC’s strengths: Batman’s inner turmoil and brilliance as a detective, Superman’s nobility and sense of purpose and Wonder Woman’s torn allegiance to humanity and to her mythic heritage.
