Poetry workshop helps sexual assault survivors work through emotions
Lucia Santina Ribisi hand-sewed 20 poetry notebooks for attendees of her first poetry writing workshop to write in. The first-year art student gave away the books at her poetry writing workshop for survivors of sexual assault. Read more...

Environmental film festival work discusses parrots in LA urban landscape
Citizens of Pasadena, California, may be familiar with the parrots constantly squawking in and around the city, but few know about their native Mexican origins. The red-crowned parrots, first brought to Los Angeles through the exotic pet trade in the 1970s and 1980s, are the primary focus of “Urban Ark Los Angeles,” one of two environmental documentary shorts produced by the Laboratory for Environmental Narrative Strategies at the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability. Spring Sing general admission ticket prices lowered for students
Students will be able to purchase Spring Sing general admission tickets for a quarter of the previous price starting Thursday morning. This year, general admission tickets will cost $5 for students – a $15 price drop from last year’s ticket prices. Read more...
