Desert Trip offers fans of all ages chance to see heroes perform

Alumnae encourage walking with Santa Monica crosswalk art

Crossing the street is now a work of art in Santa Monica. Francie Stefan, the mobility manager for the city of Santa Monica, worked with Los Angeles-based urban design firm Here Design Studio, LLC to launch a pilot program in September to paint two crosswalks near the Third Street Promenade. UCLA senior scholar inflates happiness on campus through balloon art

More than 100 students stood locked outside of Bunche 1209B waiting for class to start, when a silver balloon suddenly shot out over the crowd. The students’ eyes traced the balloon’s trajectory, and David Perkins quickly reached into the large fanny pack hanging just above his waist and pulled out another silver balloon. Read more...
