Student project engages with foster youth to offer guidance and support

A student-directed project aims to educate Los Angeles foster girls about healthy living and raise public awareness about foster youth. UCLA architecture faculty members recognized among top 50 in nation

An American architectural publication selected four UCLA faculty members’ design firms in its ranking of top interior architectural firms. The Architect’s Newspaper, which reports on a community of architects and designers, recognized UCLA faculty members Jimenez Lai, Jeffrey Inaba, Claus Benjamin Freyinger and Neil Denari as part of the publication’s top 50 interior architects for their creativity, thoughtfulness, resourcefulness and influence, respectively. Dance Marathon 2019 raises $330,000 for Pediatric AIDS Coalition

The Pediatric AIDS Coalition at UCLA raised $330,037.79 at Dance Marathon, a $12,438.50 increase from last year’s event. PAC hosts Dance Marathon annually as a way to raise money to combat pediatric AIDS and HIV in youth. Read more...

New USAC election chair accused of anti-Semitism, ready for 2019 elections

Student government officials appointed a new election board chair mid-March amid student concerns about comments made by the appointee that some considered to be anti-Semitic. Kyana Shajari, a third-year psychology student, was appointed election chair by the Undergraduate Student Association Council at its March 12 meeting. Read more...
