USA Elections Board confirms a candidate’s complaints of harassment

The Undergraduate Students Association Elections Board found complaints of election candidate harassment to be valid, according to a ruling April 20. A candidate in the upcoming Undergraduate Students Association Council election – for which voting is scheduled to begin Friday – received an email from an anonymous account stating “it’s better to be safe than sorry,” according to a written statement from the elections board. UCLA working group to focus on improving campus accessibility

Administrators announced April 4 that UCLA established a new working group intended to make the campus more physically accessible for individuals with disabilities. The working group will collaborate with a UC-wide advisory board to identify accessibility inequities, develop research-based improvement plans and monitor progress on existing initiatives, according to the announcement. Powell Library to remain under construction for seismic safety till early 2024

Powell Library will remain under construction for the next eight to 10 months following a restructuring guided by UCLA’s new seismic rating system. The reconstruction began in November and will continue through early next year, following UCLA’s seismic safety review procedure. Read more...
