New Bruin Budget Model aims for even funding distribution

Bruins rally for Iranian women in International Women’s Day march

Dozens of Bruins and protesters gathered in front of Royce Hall on Wednesday to denounce discrimination against women and political oppression in Iran. The event – organized by the Iranian Student Group at UCLA, Iranian Scholars for Liberty and Persian fraternity Sigma Pi Beta – was organized to amplify Iranian women’s voices and bring international attention to their repression, said Paria, a fourth-year cognitive science major and president of ISG, who requested to remain anonymous for safety reasons. UCLA students raise complaints about BruinBus scheduling, overcrowding issues

Passengers of BruinBus have experienced frequent issues with the year-round shuttle service, including scheduling issues and roughness boarding buses. Students said the shuttle has been inconsistent in getting them to class on time and that there are not enough buses for the number of students who use the service, particularly at the U1 line’s Weyburn Terrace stop, where UCLA’s newest university apartments house thousands of students.
