Students express frustration over room assignments, exchanging process

As the school year approaches, many students are attempting to swap their allocated UCLA Housing rooms via Reddit and other social media platforms. UCLA clubs seek to keep members engaged, connected over summer break

While trips, internships or time with family and friends occupy many UCLA students’ summer breaks, some Bruins opt to stay connected to their campus organizations. Michael Waterstone begins term as new dean of UCLA School of Law

Michael Waterstone took over as the UCLA School of Law dean Aug. 1, the university announced Tuesday. Waterstone was previously the dean of Loyola Marymount University Loyola Law School, where he was a faculty member for 17 years, the announcement said. Read more...

Applications for new creative writing minor to open in fall

UCLA’s new creative writing minor will open applications this fall. The minor will require students to take two courses in a core genre – either short story or poetry – after completing two lower-division English courses, according to the 2023-2024 course catalog. Read more...
