Smoke reported at Schoenberg Hall on Wednesday afternoon

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to reports of smoke smelled and seen at UCLA’s Schoenberg Hall on Wednesday.  Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for LAFD, said the incident was first reported at 11:50 a.m. Read more...

Leonardo DiCaprio to fund scholarships, climate education at UCLA Lab School

UCLA student David Ramirez earns Point Foundation’s Flagship Scholar scholarship

Born in the San Fernando Valley to Mexican immigrant parents, fourth-year geography/environmental studies and labor studies student David Ramirez said he attended Pasadena City College before transferring to UCLA. UCLA Chancellor Gene Block announces 2024 retirement

This post was updated Aug. 6 at 9:02 p.m. Chancellor Gene Block, who has been chancellor of UCLA since 2007, will retire at the end of the 2023-2024 academic year.  Block received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Stanford University and also earned a master’s and doctorate degree in psychology from the University of Oregon.
