University of California president Janet Napolitano recommended that the UC suspend standardized testing as an admissions requirement until 2024, according to a proposal released Monday. Summer session C will now be held online because of COVID-19, university officials announced Monday. Amid stay-at-home orders and a pandemic, student use of UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services has more than halved. The number of students using CAPS services for the first time in at least six months has dropped 65% to 70% between finals week of winter quarter and the start of week four, said Nicole Green, executive director of CAPS.
