Court suspends Heaps’ medical license for duration of criminal sexual assault case

The Los Angeles Superior Court suspended former UCLA obstetrician-gynecologist James Heaps’ medical license in a court hearing July 30. The interim suspension against Heaps will last for the duration of the criminal sexual assault case against him. Read more...

UCLA ranked No. 2 public university in the country, No. 9 overall globally

An international reputation rankings list placed UCLA as the No. 2 public university in the country for the second year in a row. Heaps faces new civil suits for sexual abuse, plaintiffs include former students

Former UCLA doctor James Heaps is facing a growing number of civil suits for alleged sexual abuse. Two more civil lawsuits from nine women alleging sexual abuse by Heaps were filed Tuesday, according to a press release from Manly, Stewart & Finaldi, the law firm representing the women.
