UCLA organizations host free produce fair to fight food injustice among students

UCLA organizations co-hosted an event Monday to raise awareness about food-related injustices among students. E3: Ecology, Economy, Equity held a free produce fair as part of Earth Month at UCLA, while the CalFresh Initiative enrolled students in CalFresh, a program that provides low-income individuals with need-based money for food, said Kristen Soares, co-chair of the event and second-year environmental science student. Dance Marathon 2019 raises $330,000 for Pediatric AIDS Coalition

The Pediatric AIDS Coalition at UCLA raised $330,037.79 at Dance Marathon, a $12,438.50 increase from last year’s event. PAC hosts Dance Marathon annually as a way to raise money to combat pediatric AIDS and HIV in youth. Read more...

New USAC election chair accused of anti-Semitism, ready for 2019 elections

Student government officials appointed a new election board chair mid-March amid student concerns about comments made by the appointee that some considered to be anti-Semitic. Alumni couple receives highest university honor UCLA Medal

Donation to UCLA will fund medical plaza renovations, biomedical research
