UCLA ranked as top public university nationwide in new report

A 2017-2018 report published Wednesday ranked the UCLA as the nation’s top public university. Students moved after reports of mold infestation in De Neve Holly

Hundreds of students were moved from their rooms Thursday after reports of a mold infestation in an on-campus residential hall. Around 500 students in the Academic Advancement Program’s summer freshman and transfer student program living in De Neve Holly were moved to Hedrick Summit by housing staff because of concerns of mold in several rooms, said AAP director Charles Alexander. Chemistry, biochemistry instructors to provide no-cost course materials

Students taking classes from the chemistry and biochemistry department may start paying less for course materials. Starting fall, the department will require instructors to provide students with no-cost alternatives to course materials and are required to state in their syllabuses whether they profit off the sale of any written course material. Former Anderson School of Management dean remembered for great impact

Harold Williams helped the Anderson School of Management develop an internationally recognized reputation and emphasized human interaction in the school’s curriculum. Williams, a former dean of the School of Management from 1970 to 1977, died July 30 in his Santa Ynez home at the age of 89. Read more...
