Daily Bruin wins award for California’s best college newspaper

Southern Lights reopens after flood investigation

Southern Lights, a coffee shop in the Court of Sciences Student Center, reopened Thursday after the store flooded in November. UCLA officials shut down the store when water that flooded the ground floor tested positive for sewage-related bacteria. Read more...

USAC discusses bloc voting, other concerns about election process

Several undergraduate student government officers and Election Board officials met Wednesday to discuss bloc voting and other concerns about the student government election process. The Undergraduate Students Association Council’s Constitutional Review Committee, which is in charge of proposing changes to USAC bylaws or the Election Code, convened to discuss possible solutions that aim to make the election process more fair.
