Dance Marathon funds AIDS treatment, support

UCLA students have teamed together with the Pediatric Aids Coalition to acknowledge the struggles of children suffering from AIDS. The Pediatric AIDS Coalition raised over $446,000 through their annual Dance Marathon this weekend, which will will help fund support and treatment services aimed at women and children. Vigil held for UCLA student who died at Reagan Medical Center

A UCLA student died Friday at the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center, according to an email from UCLA Housing Services. He was 21. Brian Kuan, a third-year cognitive science student who transferred from California Polytechnic State University Pomona, lived in the De Neve Holly dorm. Read more...

Two new slates, three total, to run 19 candidates in May USAC election

Geffen Academy director to lead info session on school’s mission

Pediatric AIDS Coalition director of cause flies back from DC to dance

This weekend, Daniel Cook will fly 2,700 miles from Washington, D.C., to UCLA to honor two uncles he lost to AIDS. Cook, a third-year political science student, will return for a weekend from his quarter in Washington, D.C., to participate in Dance Marathon, an annual 26-hour event in Pauley Pavilion. Students hold vigil to honor victims of Lahore terrorist attack

Students honored victims of the Easter Sunday terrorist attack that killed 72 people in Lahore, Pakistan, during a vigil in Meyerhoff Park Wednesday night. About 35 students who attended the vigil, organized by the Pakistani Student Association at UCLA and the South Indian Project, held candles and listened to student speakers react to the attack and discuss their hopes for a more unified Pakistan.
