Chicken pox case encourages preventative measures on the Hill

UCLA health officials found that a student who lives in Sproul Hall had signs and symptoms consistent with the chicken pox last week. All Sproul Hall residents received an email about the symptoms last week after the student visited the Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center, said Sam Elias, Ashe Center assistant medical director. UCLA asks staff, students to nominate 2015 Librarian of the Year

UCLA is asking students, faculty and staff to nominate librarians for the 2015 Librarian of the Year Award. The award, given by the Librarians Association of UCLA, recognizes a university librarian who has furthered the school’s teaching and research mission by tailoring his or her work to the campus’ needs, according to the press release asking for the nominations.
