Bruins host book drive to promote literacy in Uganda
A recently created student group is holding a book drive this week to help raise money for donations to libraries in Uganda. The Literate Earth Project at UCLA plans to work with Books For Africa, which ships donated textbooks and library books to Africa, to combat global illiteracy and help local primary and secondary schools in Africa. Committee to present proposed bylaws for USAC transfer seat
Undergraduate student government officers and transfer student advocates finished outlining the responsibilities for a newly created transfer representative council position Thursday night. UCLA students launch model aircraft in engineering class
The engine of a small, student-built plane roared to life as about 50 students and professors gathered to watch it complete a seven-meter-long track. The fourth-year aerospace engineering students who made the plane cringed as its engine stalled, causing their aircraft to loop midair over the finish line and crash into the ground. Read more...
