UCLA student government aims to reform appointments process

The way students are appointed to undergraduate student government leadership positions has received criticism, prompting some councilmembers to pursue avenues to reform the process. ASUCLA adopts philanthropy policy for donation requests

The Associate Students UCLA board of directors unanimously passed its first philanthropy policy, which details how the board will respond to donation requests, at its last meeting, The policy specifies that ASUCLA will only contribute to philanthropy groups in two ways: non-monetary donations and promotional support. UCLA honors graduates active in undocumented community

An unfinished documentary outlined the experiences of one former UCLA student’s struggle to access higher education as an undocumented individual. The film was shown in Campbell Hall Friday night to commemorate undocumented student advocates Cinthya Felix, the subject of the film, and Tam Tran, the film’s maker. Read more...

Bruin Scouts hosts college day tour for LA-based troops

Young boy scouts and girl scouts stood in front of John Wooden, striking poses with their arms crossed and stern gazes. They came across his statue after deciphering the clues in a scavenger hunt, an interactive campus tour which was part of Bruin Scouts College Day, Bruin Scouts’ biggest event of the year.
