Students protest against mass incarceration, police terror
Around noon on Wednesday, students and other organizers gathered in Bruin Plaza to protest what they call “mass incarceration, police terror and the criminalization of a generation.” Protestors recited “A Pledge of Resistance” for students to take a stand against the criminal justice system, which has, according to the protesters, committed abuses against certain population sectors. UCLA Grand Challenges program awarded $100,000 grant
A Los Angeles nonprofit awarded the UCLA Grand Challenges program $100,000 for its environmental improvement initiative on Tuesday.
