UCPD arrests, charges student with battery

This post was updated May 31 at 5:20 p.m. Editor’s note: This post was updated to remove the arrested student’s name due to safety concerns. UCPD arrested and charged a student with battery near Perloff Hall on Wednesday afternoon.  The arrested student struck an on-duty security officer’s hand while the officer was holding his phone near Murphy Hall and was then arrested near Perloff Hall, according to a Thursday UCPD news release. UCPD searches for suspect in incident of sexual battery in Westwood Village

Editor’s note: The following article contains a description of a reported sexual battery incident. UCPD is searching for an individual suspected of an off-campus sexual battery incident that occurred Thursday afternoon.  According to a crime alert sent Friday, the suspect reportedly grabbed the victim by the shoulder and thrusted his pelvis against the victim’s buttocks at the southwest corner of Le Conte Avenue and Broxton Avenue at around 3:30 p.m. Read more...
