UCPD releases annual Clery crime report for 2015
More robberies were reported on or around campus in 2015 than in 2014, according to an annual university police report released last week. The statistics come from Clery reports, which describe crime on and near the UCLA campus as required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. USAC proposes app integration for on-demand CSO van service
Undergraduate student government leaders are working to introduce an app that would allow students to request a ride home in the evening. The comment, written in the comments section of the sorority’s recruitment video on YouTube, was a short written excerpt from the video manifesto released by Elliot Rodger, the man who killed six people in Isla Vista, California, in May 2014. University police are searching for a man who carjacked an individual on the UCLA campus Monday afternoon. The individual, who is not affiliated with UCLA, said he was waiting in his car when a man approached him with a handgun near the Center for Health Sciences building at about 4:35 p.m., according to a UCPD alert. Two men to face charges for murder of UCLA student
Two men will be tried for the murder of a UCLA student within 60 days of Oct. 18, a judge decided Tuesday. County prosecutors charged Eric Marquez, a former biology student at UCLA, and Alberto Medina, a former Fresno State University student, with the murder of fourth-year psychology student Andrea “Andy” DelVesco in her Roebling Avenue apartment September 2015.
