Luskin Center for Innovation investigates California’s response to extreme heat

California is unprepared to confront increasingly extreme heat, according to a UCLA report published Oct. 27. The report from the UCLA Luskin Center for Innovation outlined a lack of coordinated policy and funding efforts at the state level to address extreme heat exposure, said Gregory Pierce, co-director of the center and a contributing editor of the report.
