UCLA will build the new fitness center in the northwest end of Parking Lot 36, by Veteran Avenue and Kinross Avenue, said Michael Deluca, assistant vice chancellor of campus life, and Wendy Windsor, director of UCLA Recreation, in an email to graduate students. Students are dissatisfied with the campus van service that picks students up in the evening, according to a survey administered by undergraduate student leaders. The USAC Facilities Commission gathered testimony from students who used the Community Service Officer Evening Van Service over the past two weeks and shared their findings at a meeting Thursday. UCLA student organizations registered more than 10,000 students to vote, beating USC in a voter registration competition.
