UCLA groups introduce six new scholarships for transfer students
This post was updated on April 5 at 4:40 p.m. Transfer students can now apply to six new scholarships. Several transfer groups and students in the undergraduate student government collaborated to create two $1,000 and four $500 scholarships that will be awarded week six. Read more...

Graduate students express discontent over projected housing plan
Many graduate students are upset with the university for planning new housing projects that do not benefit graduate students. Graduate students organized a meeting with Chancellor Gene Block and created an email campaign to press officials to include them in their housing plans. Read more...

LA County municipal elections see reduced voter turnout rate
About 6 percent of registered voters in Westwood and on campus voted in Los Angeles County municipal elections Tuesday. Out of 13,081 registered voters on campus, the Hill, the North Village and Westwood Village, only 810 cast ballots. Read more...

All four graduate student government candidates will run unopposed
No candidates will be contested in this year’s graduate student government election. Michael Skiles, the current president of the Graduate Students Association, is among the four uncontested candidates, the GSA Election Board announced Tuesday. Read more...
