UC dual admission program to grant applicants deferred transfer acceptance

University of California campuses launched a dual admission pilot program to allow high school graduates deferred transfer acceptance into a participating UC. The three-year dual admission pilot program will provide students the opportunity to enroll in a community college while having a guaranteed transfer acceptance to a UC or California State University, according to UC Newsroom. Former UCLA gynecologist James Heaps found guilty of sexual misconduct

A jury found former UCLA gynecologist James Heaps guilty of sexual misconduct Thursday.  The trial began Aug. 9 after a grand jury indicted Heaps, a former faculty member at the David Geffen School of Medicine, on 21 counts of felony sexual assault in May 2021.  Heaps was found guilty on three counts of sexual battery and two counts of sexual penetration, according to NBC.
