Westwood residents concerned over proposals for new student housing

Some Westwood residents said they are concerned that UCLA’s plans for new student housing may negatively impact the community. UCLA announced a proposal in May for additional student housing at five locations both on the Hill and around Westwood to accommodate increasing enrollment. Read more...

UCLA student fills WWNC vacancy, hopes to promote safety in Westwood

Tree branch falls on Kelton Avenue, damages pickup truck

Residents discovered Saturday that a tree fell on Kelton Avenue. The tree had two primary branches, one of which split off from the main trunk and fell onto the street below, damaging a pickup truck. Read more...

UCLA students, local residents argue over proposal to increase housing

Westwood residents and students clashed over UCLA’s planned housing projects at a public hearing Tuesday evening. While students advocated for the projects to increase student housing, local residents said they think the projects would interfere with Westwood Village’s aesthetic and intrude into their living space. UCLA Transportation to launch bike share program on campus in October
