Homelessness jumped 20 percent in the City of Los Angeles this year, according to numbers released by an independent agency Wednesday. Los Angeles volunteers counted 34,189 homeless individuals in the city in 2017 compared to 28,464 in 2016, according to the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority. Read more...
Los Angeles City Council will allocate $176 million to pay for housing for homeless individuals in its budget for fiscal year 2017-2018.
