UCPD investigating Phi Delta Theta fraternity house burglary

University police are investigating a Sunday morning burglary that occurred at a fraternity house on Gayley Avenue. A UCLA student told university police someone entered Phi Delta Theta fraternity on Gayley Avenue through an unsecured front door around midnight Sunday, according to a UCPD alert. Read more...

Margan Apartments to be rebuilt for expected increase in enrollment

A UCLA-owned apartment complex will be demolished and rebuilt over two years to almost triple the building’s current occupancy. The Margan Apartments, a seven-story, 39-unit apartment building on Levering Avenue will be rebuilt from July 2017 to 2019 to have 42 units and up to 10 stories, said Peter Angelis, assistant vice chancellor of Housing and Hospitality Services. New program to allow students to rent bikes on campus, in Westwood

This post was updated April 29 at 1:25 p.m. Students will be able to rent bikes throughout campus and Westwood Village beginning fall 2016. The bike-share program will allow students to rent a bike for a fee and return it to any other station hub. Read more...

UCPD searching for suspect who hit man with motorcycle

University police are searching for a man who struck another man with a motorcycle on Strathmore Drive near Charles E. Young Drive on April 16. The man was driving a motorcycle on Strathmore Drive when he hit the rear bumper of another man’s SUV, according to a UCPD alert. Read more...

The Westwood Village Improvement Association is a nonprofit organization that supplies Westwood Village with maintenance and outreach services the city cannot provide.
