New community official on a quest to improve Westwood Village

Niki Svara walked the streets of Westwood with a pen and clipboard, noting damaged infrastructure she would later report to city officials. UCLA signs lease with VA for continued use of Jackie Robinson Stadium

Council member’s emails show inconsistencies with stance against bike lanes

Email correspondence between a city council member’s staffers and Westwood residents shows inconsistencies in his stance on the proposed Westwood Boulevard bike lane. L.A. Westwood Village bar O’Hara’s closes, to be replaced by Rocco’s Tavern

Westwood Village bar O’Hara’s will close Saturday, and an Italian bar and tavern will move in at the corner of Gayley and Weyburn avenues. Rocco’s Tavern, which has three locations throughout the Los Angeles area, will replace the bar, said Joshua Trifunovich, the new owner of the property. Read more...
