Dunkin’ grand opening stirs up excitement among Westwood community

An official ribbon cutting ceremony took place Thursday to present the new Dunkin’ in Westwood Village. Several dozen Bruins, UCLA employees and Westwood residents gathered on Gayley Avenue on Thursday morning to see the opening ceremony, modern interior design and new technology, as well as enjoy a free doughnut with any purchase. UCLA’s December First Thursdays ignites holiday spirit in the Westwood community

Nearly 2,000 Bruins and Westwood residents gathered on Broxton Avenue to celebrate winter and the holidays at UCLA’s December First Thursdays event. Launched earlier this year, UCLA and the Westwood Village Improvement Association host First Thursdays every month with the aim to strengthen UCLA’s connection to the Westwood community. Horvath ekes out win over Hertzberg in Board of Supervisors race

Lindsey Horvath will be the next member of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors representing the 3rd District. The Board of Supervisors is the five-member governing body for the LA County, and the 3rd District – currently represented by retiring supervisor Sheila Kuehl – includes UCLA and Westwood, according to the office’s website.
