Frozenland hopes to weather Westwood’s high business-turnover rate
A new shop on Lindbrook Drive aims to offer frozen yogurt, Italian-style gelato, crepes and waffles to Westwood Village. Frozenland Ice Cream & Yogurt was opened in November by Joseph Yoush, a local businessman who believes that his store offers a diverse variety of dessert options that other frozen yogurt and ice cream specialty shops do not. UCLA rejects parking space proposal for students experiencing homelessness
UCLA rejected a proposal by the local neighborhood council to create on-campus parking spaces where students can sleep at a council meeting Wednesday. As the most expensive place to rent in California, living in Westwood can be a significant financial burden for students. Read more...

WWNC, NWWNC disagree about implementation of bike lanes on Westwood Boulevard
Westwood’s two rivaling neighborhood councils are at an impasse over whether or not bike lanes should be implemented on Westwood Boulevard. The North Westwood Neighborhood Council unanimously requested bike lanes be implemented on Westwood Boulevard and Gayley Avenue as part of the Los Angeles Metro’s First/Last Mile plan during the council’s December meeting.
