Homelessness in Los Angeles County increased by 12%, according to a report released jointly by the city and county Tuesday. The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority found the county homeless population grew from 52,765 to 58,936 between January 2018 and January 2019. Read more...

A new taco restaurant is now open in Westwood. Baja California Tacos opened on Broxton Avenue, across from Diddy Riese, on May 16. It is located in the storefront previously occupied by The Poke, which opened in 2017. Read more...

Los Angeles Metro will offer local businesses compensation for lost revenue during construction of the Purple Line Extension into Westwood. Metro authorized the expansion of the Business Interruption Fund, which provides funds to locally owned small businesses impacted by transit construction, to compensate businesses for revenue lost during construction of the third and final section of the Purple Line Extension.
