Dear Colleagues, We write to categorically support the proposed College of Letters and Science undergraduate diversity requirement, an amendment to Divisional Regulation A-458 (C). The College Faculty Executive Committee, the Undergraduate Council and the UCLA Academic Senate’s Legislative Assembly have all supported this requirement following extensive vetting and debate. Submission: Co-author of UCSA resolution needs to disclose affiliations

On Feb. 8, the University of California Student Association (UCSA) will vote on a resolution to divest from eleven companies that do business with Israel. The legislation was authored by Students for Justice in Palestine members across the country including Rahim Kurwa, a UCLA graduate student who has played a leading role in promoting similar campaigns within the Undergraduate Students Association Council here at UCLA.
