Students fear for safety, express concern over conditions to enter Pauley Pavilion

This post was updated Nov. 13 at 1:21 p.m. to include a new statement from Athletics Director Martin Jarmond. It may not be March yet, but many students reported experiences of madness outside of UCLA men’s basketball’s matchup against Villanova on Friday night.  Ahead of the game, a mob of students formed outside Pauley Pavilion, creating a scene that left many feeling unsafe and unable to enter the game despite having waited in line for upward of five hours. Scouting report: UCLA men’s basketball vs. Villanova

No. 2 UCLA men’s basketball (1-0) will take on No. 4 Villanova (1-0) in one of the premier college basketball matchups this season. While the Wildcats have three all-time national championships compared to the Bruins’ 11, Villanova has been one of the most prestigious NCAA programs of the past decade, picking up two of its three titles in the last six seasons. UCLA men’s basketball secures win over CSU Bakersfield in season opener

This post was updated Nov. 11 at 1:24 a.m. The Bruins have started their 103rd all-time season with a familiar sight – a victory. No. 2 UCLA men’s basketball (1-0) defeated CSU Bakersfield (0-1) by a score of 95-58 to secure its first win of the 2021-2022 campaign and its 1,934th win in program history. Read more...

Men’s basketball to kick off regular season with matchup against CSU Bakersfield

The Bruins are set to tip off their regular-season schedule. No. 2 UCLA men’s basketball will host CSU Bakersfield in Pauley Pavilion on Tuesday night. Prior to last season, the Bruins had won their last four season openers but lost to San Diego State after opening the 2020-2021 season nationally ranked. Read more...
