Freshman attackers Cristiano Mirarchi (left) and Aimone Barabino will be the only two freshmen to not redshirt for the UCLA men’s water polo team this year. The Italian players have a wealth of international experience between them, and both turned down opportunities to play professionally in Europe.

The UCLA men's water polo team almost reached the summit of the collegiate water polo world in 2009, but not before a few slipups while trying to climb the mountain.
