UCLA Athletics director speaks on bribery scheme, explains admissions process

UCLA Athletics director Dan Guerrero issued a statement Friday concerning the involvement of UCLA Athletics in the bribery scheme admitting students to universities as student-athletes. According to court records released on March 12, UCLA men’s soccer coach Jorge Salcedo was one of many allegedly involved in the scheme, which included the facilitation of cheating on college entrance exams. UCLA men’s soccer coach Jorge Salcedo has resigned, according to UCLA Senior Associate Athletic Director of Communications, Shana Wilson. Kris Wilkes commits to 2019 NBA Draft, forfeiting NCAA eligibility

Kris Wilkes is the first Bruin to commit to the NBA this offseason. Per CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, the sophomore guard will hire an agent and enter his name in the 2019 NBA Draft pool, foregoing his final two years of college eligibility. Read more...
