The Bruins have played the Cal State Northridge Matadors in four single-game matchups since 2015. This year, No. 3 UCLA softball (31-2, 7-2 Pac-12) will take on CSUN (16-24, 1-2 Big West) for the fifth time in three years, and the Bruins haven’t lost a game to the Matadors in that time. After a surprising series loss to unranked California last weekend, UCLA is now stuck in a three-way tie for second in the Pac-12. No. 21 UCLA baseball (16-7, 6-3 Pac-12), which has lost three of its last four games, will have to leave its Pac-12 frustration behind as it returns to midweek play against Loyola Marymount (13-14) on Tuesday night.
