Past, current and future Bruins falter in US Open

This year’s U.S. Open proved there is still a huge gap between the collegiate and pro ranks. Mackie McDonald, the 2016 NCAA singles and doubles champion, won the first two sets against qualifier Jan Šátral, but the former Bruin couldn’t clinch a third and eventually crashed out of the first round 4-6, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2. Clean sweep for UCLA women’s volleyball in Hawaii

HONOLULU – For the first time since 2011 the No. 8 UCLA women’s volleyball team has a perfect 6-0 to start the season. The Bruins had only a marginally tougher time at the Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Volleyball Classic than they did at the LMU Invitational. Read more...
