Coach John Savage agrees to 3 year contract with UCLA baseball

This post was updated July 6 at 5:16 p.m. UCLA baseball will stick with its longtime head coach for a few more years.  A season removed from a 19-33 finish and missing the postseason for the second year in a row, coach John Savage led his team back to the Men’s College World Series for the first time since 2013, when he brought the program to its first and only national title.   “UCLA has agreed to a three-year contract extension with Head Coach John Savage,” a UCLA Athletics spokesperson said Thursday.  Savage’s first extension – which was signed after the 2013 campaign and at the time made him one of the highest-paid coaches in college baseball – concluded at the end of the 2025 season.
