Reports: UCLA football to hire Tino Sunseri as new offensive coordinator

Coach DeShaun Foster’s first season in Westwood sparked a range of reactions nationwide. A 5-7, bowl-less campaign left opinions split.   But one takeaway seems to be cutting through the noise: The first-year head coach isn’t shying from bold, sweeping changes.  Just a few hours after parting ways with former associate head coach and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, Foster reportedly ushered in Tino Sunseri – the Indiana co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach who has spearheaded one of this year’s best collegiate offenses.  A source confirmed the departure to the IndyStar on Thursday afternoon, though no move can be made official until Indiana’s 2024 season concludes. Eric Bieniemy out after 1 year as UCLA football offensive coordinator

UCLA football is moving on from associate head coach and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy.  Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger initially reported the news – which was later confirmed by On3 – marking the end of Bieniemy’s tenure just nine months into his two-year deal. Read more...

All-around defense fuels UCLA men’s basketball to 1st Big Ten win over Washington

This post was updated Dec. 4 at 10:40 p.m. A visit from the NFL seemed to have inspired the Bruins on Tuesday night.  With former-Husky-turned-Bruin Laiatu Latu – the 2023 Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year – in attendance, the Bruins’ defense took care of business against the Huskies.  In the programs’ 153rd meeting – and first as Big Ten opponents – UCLA men’s basketball (7-1, 1-0 Big Ten) defeated Washington (6-2, 0-1) by a score of 69-58 at Pauley Pavilion in both squads’ conference opener.
