NCAA Super Regional series format to challenge UCLA’s pitching
This weekend, UCLA softball will get a shot at a do-over as the Bruins enter the NCAA Super Regional for the second straight year. Last year, the Bruins’ season ended on the third game of a best-of-three set, when they fell to the lower-seeded Kentucky Wildcats at home. Read more...

Softball turns mistakes into successes in three-game regional sweep
For a team that was favored going into the NCAA Regional, No. 7 seed UCLA softball did not disappoint. UCLA swept its three opponents, Cal State Northridge, Texas and San Diego State, to win the Los Angeles regional in decided fashion, outscoring the competition 21-2 over the weekend and advancing to the NCAA Super Regional. Softball seeks repeat outcome against CSUN in NCAA Regional

UCLA softball’s Ally Carda named Pac-12 Player of the Year
The Pac-12 named UCLA softball’s senior pitcher Ally Carda its Player of the Year for the second-straight season Wednesday. Carda’s award marks the 14th time a Bruin has been honored with the title and the fourth time a softball player has won Pac-12 Player of the Year award in consecutive seasons. Read more...

Softball’s win streaks reveal weakness against ranked opponents
Before this weekend, UCLA was on fire, having won 13 straight games. That streak snapped on Thursday, with a loss to Arizona State. With the postseason approaching, the Bruins will reveal whether their pair of losses in Tempe, Arizona, extinguished the fire or fanned the flames. Read more...
