UCLA swimming and diving sweeps Pink Meet events

UCLA women’s swim and dive dominated Saturday but the meet was about so much more than just the sport. The Pink Meet, held by UCLA at Spieker Acquatics Center, gathered together the squads of UCLA, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, Oregon State, San Diego and Florida Gulf Coast to compete and raise breast cancer awareness. Bruin swimmers compete in Olympic Trials, sink below preliminaries

This past week, the country’s best swimmers converged on Omaha, Nebraska, for the U.S. Swimming Olympic Trials. UCLA had its share of representatives, as 12 past, present and future Bruins threw their hats in the ring against some of the world’s most successful swimmers, some of whom are planning on adding to an already impressive list of Olympic medals. UCLA swimming and diving finishes 17th at NCAA championships

Consistent performances send divers to NCAA Championships

Three of the six UCLA divers who traveled to the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships will continue on to the NCAA Championships. After a short turnaround following their successful performances at the Pac-12 Championships, freshman Éloïse Bélanger, sophomore Maria Polyakova and junior Annika Lenz all qualified for the national championships.
